After what seemed like an absolute eternity, the beautiful Temperate House in Kew Gardens re-opened to the public for the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Naturally, it was heaving for the Bank Holiday weekend, as with the rest of the gardens, but it was great to see everything and everyone drenched in the light and what seemed like a pleasant summer afternoon. Quite nice to see the Pagoda Vista almost as is too, what with the scaffolding and coverings coming down, with just hoardings around at the Pagoda's base.
I missed out on quite a lot of the spring blooms, like the cherry blossom and the bluebells. However, there were still a few blooms willing to put up with the heat of the Bank Holiday.
And then, of course, there was the fading light of the afternoon...
