Japan

先月私は韓国と日本に行きました by 3.1

家に帰りたくなかった。

At some point, I’ll probably post about the adventure that was, made all the more magical by the fact that this time I could actually read/write/speak enough Japanese that has made two years worth of university so far so bloody worth it. (That’s right – no Google Translate / Wordpress translator plug-ins for me!)

We also dodged a typhoon (though, we got caught in one in Busan).

The cherry blossom blooms in Tokyo on the day after setsubun , which I thought was rather apt! It is hard to ignore the beauty of the spring blossom, and this particular image of mine has just received 12,464 views on Flickr as I type !

Whilst some of the cherry blossom in Japan begins to bloom, we are now back in London, tying up some loose ends to get started with our own leap into spring, though really, it feels like winter never did arrive. At some point I might interject with notes about our brief trip, but my rudimentary grasp of Japanese language and culture seems to have improved immensely, so hopefully it won't be long until I'm back over there...
